@TT_Publishing Have always wondered if any images exist of the Crabtree (electrical company) exhibition train that toured around. There's mention of them in the commemorative book about the company, with only one image of the carriages, but it's a close up shot and doesn't show where it was.
@TheUnluckyTug Do you know if the Boston - Providence & New York - Washington runs were done along the Northeast Corridor? And with the latter, would it have gone through Trenton, NJ?
Penn Central EMD E-8/9 #4321 on a siding in Ohio next to the Mad River Nickle Plate Museum in the early 2000's.Would be nice if this engine was restored and made operational again but it's sadly at time this picture was taken in need of serious TLC. From my color film collection.

When is a steam locomotive not a steam locomotive? When... it's actually a diesel!
This 2ft gauge 'steam-outline' diesel loco no.3236 was built in 1947 by Baguley for the amusements at Sheerness, but since 1998 is now a static display at Honister Slate Mine in the #LakeDistrict.

Anyone else still hunting RHTTs? We got close to 66749 at Strood the other week and 69002 at the other end of the train. Here, the driver moves from one locomotive to the other to take the train from the Medway Valley Line, to the Chatham Main Line.

As the year begins to close, a lot of heritage railways begin to rest up, ready for festive services later in December. Are you planning to visit any this weekend?
We popped over to @KandESRailway last weekend to admire the lovely Austerity tank engines.

Autumn is the time to catch the Railhead Treatment Trains, or RHTTs travelling the length and breadth of the network clearing the tracks between services.
We managed to catch this one at Gillingham (Kent) this week, top and tailed by Class 69s: 69001 & 69002.
