Vanessa Sanchez, 37, was found inside a suitcase at her Berkeley home on May 30

Investigators say her body showed signs of trauma and had been placed inside a trash bag before being stuffed into the suitcase

Police arrested her boyfriend, Damarcus Jones, 28, after surveillance video showed Sanchez entering her apartment with him but never leaving

Investigators also say Jones was later seen rolling a large suitcase into the apartment, and cellphone records placed him there for several days after Sanchez was last seen alive
