Our young people are our greatest opportunity as drivers of change, defenders of sovereignty, and partners in building a prosperous nation. Todayโs youth are turning the page on division, conflict, and poverty, and writing a new chapter of Ethiopiaโs history with courage, unity, and purpose.
The Medemer Government remains committed to empowering young Ethiopians and strengthening their role as leaders.
Let us move forward together with love, unity, and a shared national vision. ๐ช๐น
As the rainy season arrives, the hand of kindness we extend to our people grows longer with it. Today, we officially launched this year's rainy season volunteer campaign in South West Shewa Zone, Goro District, Gurura Village, where 20 homes will be built per our rural corridor initiative design.
It is only when we extend a hand to one another that we lift our country together, which is why I urge every Ethiopian to join this effort!
Eight years of consistent action. The Green Legacy Initiative continues to grow stronger, driven by public commitment and the shared belief that, together, Ethiopians can nurture a greener, more sustainable future. Today marks our annual nationwide one-day planting effort which is a moment when Ethiopians from all walks of life come together to create a lasting legacy for generations to come.
Alongside First Lady Zinash Tayachew and the COP32 National Steering Commitee, we have planted our contribution and added our mark to this collective journey. We call on all Ethiopians across the country to continue their efforts throughout the day as we work together to achieve our ambitious target of 800 million seedlings planted.
Only 5 days remain to make history through the united arm of all Ethiopians by planting 800 million seedlings in a single day! In these remaining days, I call upon my beloved fellow citizens to make the necessary preparations, rise with determination, and ensure the victory we will achieve in our unity.
Together, let us plant hope!

"At a time when the world is undergoing undeniable changes, we are pursuing three key principles based on strategic self-reliance to safeguard Ethiopiaโs national interests, foreign policy, and sovereignty. The first is resilience, which focuses on building strong institutional capacity that enables us to withstand external pressures through our own capabilities. The second is leveraging opportunities, which involves the ability to transform any challenge we face into a strategic and positive development opportunity. The third is shaping our path, which enables the country to formulate its own national agenda and confidently engage with and influence global affairs. Guided by these three pillars, we will not allow any external actor to interfere in any of our national decisions."

It is an honour to stand today at the ๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐ฃ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ national summit held under the theme "From Reform to Lasting Change," I reflected on the journey that has brought us to this moment, a nation that has continuously risen, built the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam with its own hands. These are not chances. They are the results of deliberate choices, anchored in the spirit of Medemer, the conviction that lasting change is built through coming together.
Our reforms are not an end in themselves; they are the foundation we lay for the generations that will come after us. For nation building is a collective work that does not conclude with any single generation, and with that conviction, I call on every Ethiopian to carry this spirit forward, to receive what we have built, and to rise higher still!

I was honored to lead a constructive discussion aimed at enhancing private sector participation in international and continental summits and conferences to be hosted in Our Country-Ethiopia.
The meeting brought together private transport investors in order to focus on establishing adequate, reliable, and high-quality transport services during major events we host in Addis Ababa. Such collaborative efforts are essential for building a positive national image and fostering sustainable, long-term capacity within our transport sector.
Beyond their profound diplomatic significance, such major international summits and conferences play a pivotal role in boosting tourism and driving the national economy. Recognizing this, our Ministryโin close coordination with the Ministry of Transport and Logistics and other key stakeholdersโwill continue to provide the necessary support to ensure private investors play a leading role in the transport and logistics landscape.
#Ethiopia continues strengthening democratic institutions and expanding civic participation. Attempts to discredit the upcoming election through smear campaigns will not distract citizens from exercising their constitutional rights peacefully and responsibly. #BewareOfFakeNews
Borena National Park
This pristine conservation area is a massive sanctuary for wildlife and tourism, serving as a vital home to various mammal species, bird varieties, and diverse plant types.
The massive Borena Water Supply Project, is transforming lives across the East Borena and Borena zones by providing communities with reliable access to clean water.
Through the development of thousands of kilometers of pipelines, resilient infrastructure, advanced pumping stations, and large-scale reservoirs, we are doing more than combating drought. We are safeguarding public health, strengthening livelihoods, and unlocking agricultural potential for generations to come.
The effort we launched to ensure Ethiopiaโs food sovereignty is continuing with strong results! Today, in the Oromia Region, in the North Shewa Zone, Sululta district, we toured and observed a thriving wheat farm cultivated on 2,150 hectares of land.
Once a neglected and hazardous area, the Arada district has been reimagined into a magnificent urban sanctuary.
For us, Ethiopia is not merely a dream to be envisioned, it is a reality to be built. We are building a nation that is healthy, resilient, and full of promise for future generations that is also a leader in Africa and a formidable competitor on the global stage. Each day, we continue to turn this promise into reality.
I attended and shared my thoughts at a consultative forum organized under the theme 'Social Development for Nation Building,' where major achievements in the social sector over the past years were presented.
Although social sector development, unlike other physical infrastructures does not yield immediate or tangible results, it lays a sustainable and critical foundation for the nation.
Despite current challenges, Ethiopia is being built at a rapid pace, faster than many realize. Even with our resource limitations, there is no social sector where improvement has not been attempted. However, since much work remains to translate our set goals into practice and ensure they achieve their purpose, we must stand together. Just as one hand cannot clap alone, the community must join in as a stakeholder alongside the governmentโs initiatives.
