@jk_rowling Anyway, I truly have appreciated your courage on recent issues. You could easily have not done so. I would love to see you come to faith in Jesus Christ because in it there is fullness of joy.
@jk_rowling I understand the desire for “evidence.” It’s just that evidence may not come in the way you think it will. I pray that you experience the realness of God’s presence. It is undeniable.
@Andrewnsnyder With both positive and negative things, commonness does not necessarily take away from the beauty or sorrow of it. For example, miscarriages are “common” but the commonness doesn’t make it any less intense when it happens to you. I suppose the same thing is true for nature.
@TheoManBabies @KWolske702 @BethMooreLPM I don’t think it’s my job specifically. But I do think Christians should live faithfully and speak when the Spirit prompts us to speak. And God does use people to point others towards dependence. So if God ever does want to use me, I would hope that I faithfully respond.
@BethMooreLPM I’m not trying to be difficult or annoying here. I’m not even very active on Twitter anymore, so it’s unusual for me to tweet so many times in one day, I just think this is really important. There is a big desire to be liked, and sometimes that desire can get in the way of truth.
@BethMooreLPM I think pride is something we all have to check our hearts on. Constantly! I am just concerned that both young and old can sometimes harbor an inner desire to make everyone happy and that can be its own sort of pride. The pride of not being willing to make ourselves clear.
@BethMooreLPM So would you say that conviction sometimes allows us to say that an institution is no longer valuing scripture based on their vocal beliefs and statements? And what should our response be if that is the case?
@BethMooreLPM And I know someone could say to me “who made you in charge.” I get that I’m not the final judge - God is. But God has given his Word to us, and I think God has given us minds and hearts to discern when a sect has gone too far and needs to be rebuked.
