@wasUESH @PreeceOwen Also, plenty of other teams do not get their banned player reinstated, they just get on with playing the game without them. Surely it’s worse to pull strings to get the ban overturned? And legally, in England & Wales anyway, other interested parties can be involved in litigation.

@wasUESH @PreeceOwen Belgium did not appeal however, they asked for clarification from FIFA which FIFA turned into an appeal, presumably so they could avoid providing the requested clarification (as they knew this would be controversial). FIFA created a precedent by wrongly suspending Ronaldo’s ban.

@wasUESH @PreeceOwen There is a difference between a legitimate query (as it has never before happened that a banned player then went on to play in a World Cup game) and ‘crying’. As Owen said, the rest of the world was with Belgium and had it been Wales, I hope the FAW would have done the same.
