"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:1-2
Change me, Lord, to look and think and love more and more like You.
God doesn’t call us to find a power within ourselves to overcome the issues we face in this life.
He calls us to put on His armor because we're facing a battle. And His weapons aren’t silly spiritual suggestions that might or might not work. His weapons are certain. Eph. 6:13-18
Let’s make empathy and grace the starting place for hard conversations.
This doesn’t mean we water down God’s Word. It exemplifies we understand it and are living His message out loud.
Empathy and grace don’t discount truth. But unkindness surely does.
You won’t have the strength to keep moving forward if you’re weeping over what’s behind. It takes a lot of energy to relive hurts and wonder why it didn’t work out. If it didn’t work out the way you had planned, it wasn’t supposed to.
When our circumstances are hard and we’re tempted to let our hearts slip into despair, I pray we will remember this: God is working things out. He is present. His plan is still good and He can still be trusted.
These are true certainties even when life feels so very uncertain.
Choosing a gentle reply doesn’t mean you’re weak; it actually means you possess a rare and godly strength.
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” Proverbs 15:1
That step of obedience God has been nudging you to take? The one that sounds crazy to you?
Do it scared. Do it imperfectly. Do it uncertain when you don't feel capable enough.
It’s in that gap of all the unknowns where the Spirit has room to move. And God's strength takes over.
I know how hard it can be to wait on God when you want to move forward and you’re seeking His guidance.
But while you wait on His answer, don't lose confidence in His goodness. Be strong. Be patient. Cling to His Word. And keep trusting in His unfailing love.
