@Lethal2Ks maybe the Knicks should stop fouling. Completely different than the foul baiting the thunder were doing. There’s no flopping. If anything the refs aren’t calling enough fouls— before these playoffs wemby has no history of dirty play. there’s a correlation to the aggressiveness
New York Knicks fans, who revere Charles Oakley, the gold standard of NBA tough guys, crying internet tears over Wemby shoving Brunson off him as he's getting held is pretty rich.
@supreme_script@MikeHerndonSk1 Not historical. Not even the most this decade— check lakers 2023.
Fact is that players who are of a certain physical advantage get fouled a significantly higher clip— often doesn’t get called. But wemby is going to end up hurt how he’s been played against these playoffs.
I genuinely believe this is one of the more important national conversations the NBA and NBA media have had in recent years. People hate watching this. The best team in the league and the two-time MVP doing it so much may finally force the league's hand (hopefully, for more than a few weeks this time).
Im surprised teams don’t lose their cool against the Thunder more often. The way they defend, combined with the way they game officials, has to drive every opponent bonkers. Can’t remember the last team that was this unapologetically dirty.
