“Love is Not Proud”
(1)
I’m seeing a lot of rainbow items this Homosexual Pride Month and would like to share some thoughts.
First, the flag is a religious misappropriation. Let me explain:
The flag’s designer, Gilbert Baker, deliberately chose the rainbow in reference to God’s covenant with man. He’s quoted as saying, “The rainbow is in the Bible. It’s a covenant between God and all living creatures.” By doing so, he misappropriated and misinterpreted the meaning of the rainbow. He also invited religious scrutiny & appropriate application and interpretation.
God set the bow in the clouds as a reminder that He would not again destroy the world with water (Genesis 9:1. ) He will judge and destroy the world again, but next time it’ll be with fire.
The rainbow was never intended to tolerate or celebrate sin of any kind.
Imagine those with substance misuse disorder choosing a syringe to celebrate drug use. Or even closer, a religious symbol of the bread of life to excuse gluttony.
Having a Pride Show or Parade is like having a Fentanyl Pride Day. We are interested in prevention and recovery of any sin or struggle not promotion and reveling.
Pride itself is a sin.
Pride in a sin invites a double curse.
The bow is a symbol of grace but grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts (Titus 2). We should never continue in sin that grace would abound (Romans 6:1-2.) That’s the sin of prideful presumption and unbelief for which the LGBTQ+ and entire world will be judged.
The bow is more than a symbol of grace it’s a symbol of Gods glory. Ezekiel saw the bow when he was visited by the glory of God (Ezekiel 1:28.) We will see the bow in heaven around the throne. No doubt, Satan remembers being Lucifer enraptured in the effulgence of the Most High. He seeks to imitate and corrupt what is good and holy.
Homosexuality and transgenderism corrupts what God created. Jesus clearly spoke to this issue as he declared how God from the beginning made them “male and female”, describes a man leaving his “father and mother”, and detailed marriage as cleaving to one another in a loving, monogamous relationship picturing Christ’s love for His Church (Mark 10, Matthew 19.) The Bible is clear. Homosexuality is a reprobate vile affection (Romans 1:26- lesbians, Romans 1:27- sodomites). In the OT God calls it an abomination. In the NT, the Spirit describes it as something that is unseemly. Sodom and Gomorrah were wiped off the face of the earth for “giving themselves over to fornication (Jude 7) and are set forth as an example of hell.
As an American, I believe in anyone being able to choose any sort of behavior that doesn’t interfere with me. As one founder said, “your freedom ends at the tip of my nose.” You can choose your sin but not your consequences. You also cannot force someone to promote and be involved with your sin. I refuse to abide by false and demonic pronouns or anything else that would make me complicit to and a participant in another’s sin. I refuse to enter establishments that will have clear promotion of sin for my children to see. I refuse to sit by and applaud any sin that Jesus died for.
As a Christian and preacher of the gospel, I am responsible to stand as salt and light sharing the truth that makes free.
Homosexuality is a sin condemned throughout the Bible with the core being pride and rebellion against God. The recent obfuscation of truth goes against clear biblical truth and historical reality. Homosexuality was never permitted or promoted in Israel or Church history.
creating them.” God created them male or female, California is mutilating them. It’s abuse.
Homosexuality is not an unpardonable sin and one may be forgiven and freed from that sin just like any other. Someone may struggle with sins others may not. We’re all born sinners in need of salvation. If someone says they are “born that way” remind them that’s why we all must be born again.
@JoeShakour Congrats! Make sure they install that EIFS correctly. Ours was installed in 2001 w/o proper drainage, resulting in leakage into the building. Hope Baptist, Toledo. https://t.co/SlzGJtNpDw
UPDATE:
William Kelly is now in custody.
Our nation was settled and founded by people fleeing religious persecution. Religious freedom is the bedrock of this country.
We will protect our pastors. We will protect our churches. We will protect Americans of faith.
I never dreamed in my lifetime that I would hear so many people with a national platform preach so clearly the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“This is the Lord's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Ps 118).
My dear American friends,
We British Christians would get excited when, once a year, Queen Elizabeth would make a mild but sincere reference to the love of Jesus Christ in her Christmas address.
In Charlie Kirks' Memorial service, watched by tens of millions, I just heard:
- Multiple clear presentations of the gospel from men like @robmccoyus and @DrFrankTurek with clear calls to repentance and faith
- Worship songs full of Scripture sung by tens of thousands live and millions at home
- Personal testimonies of lives transformed by the work of Christ and the witness of believers
- Demonstration and explanation of the value of marriage, child-rearing and family
- Calls to Romans 13 for the government to bear the sword for the protection of good and punishment of the wicked
- Declarations of spiritual warfare on the forces of evil and promises to endure no matter the cost
- Calls to be prophets and call the nation to repent
- More Scripture references and Bible readings than I can count
- And a widow publicly forgiving her husband's killer because Christ forgave his killers on the cross.
All of it done before, and by, the most powerful people in your nation and the world.
You guys should be on your knees thanking God for your country. It is a light to the world.
Never stop fighting for it.
Jared & Kristen Dunbar, a pastor's family, have been without a family vehicle since June.
They are the "real deal" in ministry. They've saved several thousand, but not enough for a reliable vehicle. Please consider investing in their family. https://t.co/PFNlUMvjFi
WE’RE GOING HOME! 🙌 No rehab. No ICU. Just HOME.
God answered. Faith deepened. Grace sustained.
To our doctors, nurses, family, friends—thank you.
We won’t forget the miracle.
God did what only He can do.
To Him be the glory.

We’re at the 48-hour mark—thankful God has sustained Lawson’s life. He’s showing signs of little progress, and we’re praising God for every miracle. Still sedated, still critical, but hopeful. Thank you for every prayer, call, and visit. More details on Facebook #PrayForLawson
On Good Friday, we commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus. During my visit to the US Merchant Marine Academy, I spoke with an amazing group of young midshipmen about Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins.
A complaint from ONE “concerned citizen” got the Academy’s beautiful & historic “Christ on the Water” painting relegated out of the hall where it was displayed, to the basement, where it’s rarely seen. We shouldn’t have to hide our faith, regardless of our religion. I think there’s no better time than Easter to bring Jesus out of the basement and back to a place where our brave and strong merchant marines can draw inspiration from it. What do you think about Jesus in the basement?
