.@WNBA maybe you should focus less on fining players for commenting on your poor officiating & more about hiring officials that are able to call a consistent game and protect your athletes. Pathetic. Praying for you .@sophaller 🙏🏼❤️
Don't let this man convince you that he was paying attention at any point during this game. @stephenasmith is a fraud and an embarrassment to the NBA #YesCers
We will return Fortnite to the US iOS App Store next week.
Epic puts forth a peace proposal: If Apple extends the court's friction-free, Apple-tax-free framework worldwide, we'll return Fortnite to the App Store worldwide and drop current and future litigation on the topic.
Back like we never left.
Download Fortnite via the new Epic Games Store on Android worldwide & iOS in the European Union and complete mobile Quests to unlock the Katalina Outfit ✨ https://t.co/RuZqRlegwo
"design tools continue to fall behind CSS" was a recurring theme at @CSSDayConf
- typography features (so many!)
- scroll animation
- meaningful math tricks
- layout capabilities
- container queries / responsive capabilities
- anchor positioning
- :has() and presence awareness
- quantity queries
- scroll snap
and so much more…
it seems like design tools are competing against each other to be the best Photoshop variant. meanwhile, the web's features are pushing fast into a mega capable future and designers are blissfully unaware. (i'm aware this isn't all teams, but it's def the majority)
web designers, sit with your web developers
web developers, sit with your web designers
also, someone (i wish i could work on this) make a tool that unlocks these features for designers. help them wield these capabilities, they're super fun and very meaningful.
the delta is growing too fast between CSS and design tools, someone or something close this gap!!
@KevinJPowell@chriscoyier@FrontendMasters I waited around impatiently for years for container query support, but I’ve found myself not quite ready to transition from the js-based solutions I’ve had in place before they were fully supported. CQs solve some major problems, but style queries will take them to the next level
All my clients are struggling collectively, describing it as "Designers don't know how to use Figma Autolayout."
That's NOT the problem. The problem is that "Designers don't understand the box model and hierarchically nested layout techniques."
The problem is UI design craft.
The internet feels increasingly broken. News sites are paywalled or account walled, Reddit is nag walled, Google search spams ads and SEO to the point of uselessness, and now Twitter is account walled. Web browsing feels horrible now.
