Congressman @PatHarriganNC, can you please let the officials in charge of the NC’s exhibit at the Great American State Fair know that this racist monstrosity is not the flag of the great state of North Carolina. I don’t know who is responsible for this but it is disgraceful.
@MBSepulveda@PatHarriganNC It literally all is of interest to me. I love history especially the Civil War but that doesn’t change the fact that this was never a flag of NC. It was never actually a flag of the Confederacy and it only came into its current popularity during the early 20th century not 19th.
@RPMFUN@PatHarriganNC Erased, no. But it can be gotten completely wrong because of laziness and ignorance because some intern asked ChatGPT for past NC flags and this came up EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NEVER OUR FUCKING FLAG! And no one bothered to check it.
@TaliaferroJohn0@PatHarriganNC Sir, I have probably forgotten more about the Civil War just today than an ignorant troll like yourself has learned in your entire life. Kindly fuck all the way off!
@MarkAppel22@PatHarriganNC I love my state. I love it enough to know it’s actually history. This flag was never a flag of our state. You can go fuck your self.
@OrthodoxPole81 This isn’t even the actual confederate flag. It is the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. The flag didn’t even grow in prominence until the early 20th century as a tool of the KKK and various other organizations advocating for Jim Crow laws.
@SenTedBuddNC Please speak to them about the weird Robert E. Lee Battle flag/state flag they have on display. This has never been a flag of NC and someone needs to be held accountable for this hurtful slander of the great state of North Carolina.
