Jews often named their children after Biblical figures, so Mary could have been named after OT Miriam BECAUSE her father was likewise named Amram (‘Imrān). A deliberate naming scheme.

@nuriyahk @ApostateRidvan Additionally, you claim that the Qur’an fails to express the dignity of all human beings (while strangely holding up the declaration of human rights as a holy standard) even though the Qur’an explicitly states: “We have bestowed dignity & respect on all Children of Adam” (17:70)

@nuriyahk @ApostateRidvan Hey Nuriyah, why did you ignore the context of Qur’an 2:190 and brush it off as an “excuse” when it refutes your point? The passage concludes: “There shall be no hostility but against the oppressors” (Q 2:193) This is either extreme ignorance or gross deception. Which one is it?

@nuriyahk @ApostateRidvan You also propagate the long-refuted myth of “a woman’s testimony is worth half a man’s” in Q 2:283, even though the verse never says that, but simply calls for a supporting female witness in case the first one errs. But if she makes no mistake, then witness #2 isn’t even needed…

@nuriyahk That’s what happens when you lack a basic grasp of the Qur’an. God doesn’t “confuse” His creation, nor does He make mistakes. “He creates whatever He wills” and all of nature is “of His signs & wonders.” You make the same blunders in many of your interviews. It’s embarrassing…

@InfidelNoodle He’s just being honest & saying not to make it a #1 priority (since it isn’t). Plus atheists can be guilty of the same thing: “Yes, God isn’t real, but don’t scare them away! Once they’re atheists, they’ll find out later on their own that life has no real meaning or purpose!”
