When it comes to clear action in anti-racism, it’s not a surprise that Wales seems to “get it”. I have been an advocate for the banning of this book in UK schools. This is not censorship, it is common sense.

Volunteers are needed for a Black Supplementary School that runs in the heart of Chapeltown in Leeds. Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4pm. DBS required. Teaching qualification will be a plus but not compulsory.
Last day of #RKEFest23 - Insightful sessions with @ResearchCRED:
1️⃣ 'Black Supplementary Schools' by @jonahulebor, BERA 2023's Best Presentation
2️⃣ 'Dismantling Racism in Schools' with @Penny_Ten, BERA 2023 Awardee
3️⃣ 'Black Mixed Heritage Pupils in Education' by @kayah_marsden
It is difficult to make sense out of the Sewell report. It appears its sole purpose was to further infuriate people of colour and rubber stamp racial inequity. The sheer distortions and assumptions based on "model communities" and post-racial pride is sheer hallucination.
This is highly recommended. With my experience in schools, I am hoping that that schools along with the leadership and staff can engage in this kind of training, better still with @ResearchCRED
Have you seen our ‘Let’s talk about Race Masterclass’ which is receiving amazing feedback with @LanderVini for @ResearchCRED £25 per delegate for school colleagues.
No.10 broke precedent and snubbed Britain’s first black archbishop for a peerage because it says the House of Lords is too large, but it made room for Ian Botham, Claire Fox and Theresa May’s husband.
Blatant institutional prejudice #BlackLivesMatter
