He’s really taking things terribly, crashing out every week (@JeffStelling poking the bear!)
Not sure how I came across this, I muted “Agbonlahor” because he’s thicker than a whale omelette, but amusing nonetheless.
COYS. Does crazy things to you.
@AaronSides2@HLTCO Shifting the goalposts i see. The discussion is if you have to be a «monster athlete» ie tall and strong to be able to compete at the highest level in football. It’s just not true
@JamesWorron@SimonMagus@AlanJSanders@holland_tom Agree:) it’s in my first tweet, btw Bombadil is not a valar; he’s something else. What is he? We don’t know, it’s not explained. We can discuss and create our own meaning out of it, that’s the beauty of great literature
@JamesWorron@SimonMagus@AlanJSanders@holland_tom He’s a reminder that the world is older than Sauron, Gandalf etc. he’s not touched by the evil that lurks the hearts of elves and men. He’s something older and different. Another creature of Eru who makes the whole universe more interesting and timeless
@JamesWorron@SimonMagus@AlanJSanders@holland_tom He’s absolutely relevant, smh. Don’t get me wrong, I love the movies - they’re a pretty good adaptation, with certain significant omissions, but every movie is an adaptation, it has to be. The hobbit movies on the other hand are a bad bad adaptation
