Kenyan President William Ruto has directed authorities to remove foreign nationals from small-scale businesses, including street hawking and operating neighbourhood shops.
Enforcement is expected to begin next week as the government moves to reserve these sectors for Kenyan citizens.

Meanwhile, Parliament is considering a Local Content Bill that would give the policy legal force by designating certain categories of business exclusively for Kenyans.
