@garrytan The shift happened when AI made it trivial to fork and customize. Used to take weeks to adapt an open source project. Now you throw it at Claude and have a working fork in an afternoon. The ROI equation for building proprietary just collapsed.

@varun_mathur Curious about latency on the swarm coordination. We run AI agents for construction cost estimation — similar loop but the bottleneck is always the back-and-forth between agents, not the compute itself. How are you handling agent consensus when results conflict?

@steipete Running my AI construction assistant on it. My users are German tradesmen who can barely type — they send voice notes and photos of building sites. OpenClaw handles the routing between whisper, vision, and the actual AI. Wouldn't have been possible to wire that up 18 months ago.
