Canopy just shipped Banyan (v2.0), its first named protocol upgrade: a live, network-wide consensus change with zero downtime across the full validator set.

The bigger part: every app built on Canopy inherits that same auto-update capability for their own app too.

Builders on Canopy can ship real changes without redeploying or migrating users, upgrading their app as routinely as they'd ship any other update.

Banyan also brings full nonce-level and RLP compatibility for standard Ethereum tooling, plus performance improvements. Proven pre-mainnet, on purpose, ahead of go-live.
