I am very excited to share that our paper has now been published in @Nature. We describe a single-cell correlate of theta-gamma phase amplitude coupling and show how these cells are involved in the cognitive control of working memory storage processes.

We are delighted to share that our new paper published today in @NeuroCellPress! We show that the persistent activity of single neurons during working memory (WM) maintenance predicts long-term memory (LTM) formation in the human hippocampus. 👇https://t.co/J0zZ4wfcWC
5/ Our findings suggest a single-neuron mechanism linking WM maintenance and LTM encoding. It sheds light on how working and long-term memory interact at a cellular level, revealing that WM maintenance serves as a gateway to memory formation in the hippocampus.
Germany tried this. It is a disaster. Pushes ppl out of research. The positions they are supposed to transition into don't exist. I can't keep my research team here because of arbitrary contract limits like this. Tragic and demoralizing for all of us. #WissZeitVG#IchbinHanna
Check out our new preprint in which we show how single neuron activity of items stored in working memory in the hippocampus relates to the encoding of those items into long-term memory. The stronger the persistent activity during WM, the more successful the encoding into LTM.

I am looking for two postdocs to join us at Giessen University @jlugiessen, in collab. with the Max Planck Institute @MPI_CBS in Leipzig, funded by @ERC_Research & @ProLOEWE. We have exciting projects lined up but also offer a lot of freedom with implementing own ideas!👇 pls RT!
🚨 Job altert!🚨
Come join us in lovely Maryland! The Social Learning and Decisions lab @bsosumd is recruiting a full-time lab manager/RA starting in September to help with lab set-up and research on the computational processes underlying human social and affective decisions.
Big thank you to all contributors!
