🚨 Didier Deschamps got asked by the French players if they could get a night out in Miami, but he denied them.
He asked for absolute focus for their third-place match against England.

🇦🇷💫 Lautaro Martínez, NO ONE deserved this goal more than you.:
• He was heavily criticized and mocked after failing to score at previous World Cups.
• He finally scored his first-ever World Cup goal in 2026.
• He never gave up. Even as Julián Álvarez’s backup, he continued supporting the team and fighting whenever he was given a chance.
Today, Lautaro Martínez scored the goal that sent Argentina to a World Cup final... He celebrated in tears. Pure redemption. 🔥
Fuck sake, Belgium would’ve beaten France if they had gotten to the semifinals.
Seriously, Belgium without all their injuries could’ve been world champions this year.
Bellingham may have scored two goals and made last man tackle to deny a sure equaliser, but as a pure football fan, I’d rather he doesn’t do all of that but instead make 70 touches, 80 completed passes, and 10 spins in midfield to prove to me that he’s a pure central midfielder.
Dear @FIFAPresident
I know it's not called FIFA anymore but I was wondering if you could help me out. I unintentionally took my best player into a game of Gauntlets and I know the rule states he has to sit out the next game but I really need him for the final game so I can rescue Kai Havertz.
If there's anything you can do it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, sir.
Sincerely,
ZwebackHD
🚨⚠️ OFFICIAL: Belgian Federation statement on Folarin Balogun red card case, saying they are “astonished”.
“The Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) is astonished by FIFA's decision to declare suspended United States player Folarin Balogun eligible to play in the USA–Belgium match on Monday, 6 July at 5:00 p.m. (Seattle time).
FIFA bases its decision on Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
This provision states that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee may decide to suspend the enforcement of a previously imposed disciplinary sanction.
However, Article 66.4 of the same FIFA Disciplinary Code clearly provides that a red card (sending-off) automatically results in a suspension for the team's next match, as has been the case for all previous red cards issued during this FIFA World Cup.
Furthermore, and irrespective of the above, the decision is in direct contradiction with the provisions of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Competition Regulations, as set out in Article 10.5:
"If a player or team official is sent off as a result of a direct or indirect red card (second caution), they will automatically be suspended from their team's subsequent match. In addition, further sanctions may be imposed.”
The automatic nature of such a suspension was also explicitly reaffirmed in FIFA World Cup 2026 Circular No. 16, which was distributed to all participating member associations on 12 May 2026.
The same rule is reiterated at every FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Coordination Meeting prior to each match and is included in all FIFA World Cup 2026 workshop presentations.
❗️In order to safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this FIFA World Cup and at future editions of the tournament, the RBFA is investigating all potential options.”
Dear Aleksandar. I watched your father leave this club with tears in his eyes. I watched him not being able to talk about what he lived because he’d get too emotional. I know this shirt is heavy. I know your last name carries a burden. But I’ll support you until the end of my days. Because I never could’ve imagined seeing another Stankovic with the Inter shirt again.
My season so far:
