@PeteFiutak Ok let's say that the WR doesn't have to start behind the line of scrimmage and can just stand 60yeards up field, you still saying the same thing?
@Psnjellybelly@CraigSkellorn@themagic_tophat@AFC_Monty_ Wages make a difference to FFP or PSR, but player profit on sale is more amortization. Initial transfer fee = £60m / length of initial contract = 6 years = £10m a year x 4 (Number of years since signed) = 60 - 40 = £20m still on book value, so they're making roughly £40m profit
@stuey_beef So if pensions are considered benefits (which IMO isn't correct), and they have to pay tax, does that mean other benefits will also have to be taxed? Or is that tax part only going to apply to any additional pensions received?
@DIYstevie@kirkdwilliams@jlrbartlett@SaulStaniforth Personally I'd remove road tax and put it on in petrol and use the funds to repair roads, the more you drive the more you damage the roads the more you contribute. Foreign drivers would then pay, which they don't currently. Potentially EV would need some sort of fee to cover them
@TheGriftReport Just block students from those countries till the fees are paid or maybe get a system where the country where they come from guarantees the cost.
@kirkdwilliams@jlrbartlett@DIYstevie@SaulStaniforth Pension cost 2925/26 = £146B
NI Contributions = £205B
Pays pension and then some and could be used to build a pot for future increases or to bring down the national debt. Obviously the difference would need to come from somewhere else, but gotta start somewhere
@Shedyfooty I wonder what would happen if Ghana, just packed up and went home. 3x games not going ahead, ticket refunds, group in chaos as each team would get a walkover.
@v8fettler@SaulStaniforth I agree, but it's lumped in with Welfare when looking at the expenditure. I guess as they consider it something that the government has to give to the people, even though you could argue that it's just returning money already paid.
@jlrbartlett@DIYstevie@SaulStaniforth There's this thing called National Insurance or NI, that you pay during your working life and the government keeps a track and that qualifies you for a pension. If the government had any Brian's they would have ring fenced it and invested it to fund it a long time ago.
@SaulStaniforth Are we comparing apples with apples. When looking at other countries, do all the expenditures align correctly? Not doubting anyone's figures just interested to know?
@FrancisChipp That's the way a league works across the globe, the team that finishes too after the allocated games are the Champions. Never known a team to get 114 points so every year teams drop points
