U’lukwej is one of those Mi’kmaq words you can almost guess … which animal of mi’kma’ki says “uu-lu”?
@ChemooCow Congrats. It’s a big step. You are right to celebrate in your own personal way! If you want a bell, one can be found! But there are so many ways to celebrate!!!!
One runner, after finishing his loop and dropping, cooked an egg burrito while showering. Like, took a camp stove and skillet into the shower, cooked the eggs, etc., and ate the tortilla. In the shower. #BM100
Jasmin Paris @JasminKParis began loop four at 35:53:27.
Jasmin is the second woman to begin a fourth loop at the #BM100. The first was Sue Johnston in 2001.
@keithdunn@JasminKParis So it’s been 22 years I think since a woman went on to loop 4. This is a long time coming. Let’s go, jasmin! Stay steady. Nail that nav.
Scaly Fringe lichen, newly listed as threatened, has scaly little lobe ends (squamules) while its close cousin Neglected Fringe has grainy clumps (soralia). You usually need hand lens to be sure. Today I found Scaly with Shaggy Fringe Lichen (darker). #lichen#speciesatrisk
