I never closed a BIG brand, and looking back it's probably a good thing. But I did end up making 100+ applications for small and medium size brands and learned a TON.
An experience that I'm grateful I had the courage to try and one I'll never forget.
A story about how I faked it, (kinda) made it, and took sales calls from my 1996 Nissan Maxima.
The year is 2008 and I'm working at my first real career job after graduating college, a local marketing agency in town.
When a lead came in, I would schedule the call on my lunch break where I took it from my 1996 Nissan Maxima (with rims of course).
With no office, no development team, and no idea what I was doing β I was forced to put on a front for a chance at closing a deal.
