Transient errors retry. Permanent errors skip.
Exhaust retries with no dead-letter queue, and the request disappears.
The platform reports handled requests, not gaps.
A retry policy without a failure path is disposal, not resilience.
Is each flow's failure destination named?
For AI, sovereignty is increasingly shaped by where the compute sits.
Civo’s plans for 40 UK edge data centres and UpCloud’s continued investment in AI hardware point to different routes to the edge.
Capability and sovereignty need not be an either/or.
An integration platform retries the HTTP 503 it recognises, then silently drops the transient transport failure it doesn’t. Two retry paths. One set of rules. No logic explaining the difference. Flaky networks still win.
