Some great suggestions in this, vital we keeps kids interested. “One in four players quit by the age of 12, rising to one in three by the age of 16. They are also aware of the reason: a reported lack of fun, arising from a hyper focus on winning.”
It’s better for the child and the sport “A child may be a late bloomer so it’s important that they are kept in the sport, given a chance. There’s been examples of people who weren’t great at a sport when they were very young but ended up playing on the county senior team.”
