At the end of February was my last day at Loyola after 10 years. It's impossible to overstate the support I've received here. I looked forward to coming to work every day because of the faculty, staff, and students I had the privilege to call colleagues.

The Kirk lab is moving! In March of 2026, we're excited to join @UChicagoCardio, @UChicagoMed, and @UChicago. I'll be helping to build a robust translational cardiovascular research center - look out for more news in the coming months.
Last week, Dr. Christine Delligatti and Hana Pak ended their time in the lab, moving on to the next steps in their careers. They are both going to do amazing things, and we were very lucky to have them as part of the lab.

After four years in the lab as a Masters student and then Lab Manager, it is Ahmed Zied's last day at @LoyolaChicago. He goes off to start his next adventure as an MD/PhD student at @YaleMed. We'll miss him, but are excited to see what he achieves next!
