#MWE Day 28
Tangerine Dream - Rubycon (1975)
This soaring ambient classic from Germany vaporized me w/ mystical, murky grandeur, diffusing me into the molten cosmos. Gloomy, fluting mellotron echoes among simmering synths, dreamy piano, & majestic choirs. A perfect sonic vortex.

#MWE Day 1
Speedy Ortiz - Major Arcana (2013)
Fantastic indie rock with crunchy 90’s inspired riffs, reaching into grunge & math-rock territory at times. Bombastic drums, dark witty lyrics with a great vocalist… Whole thing rules. A bit embarrassed I’ve never heard this before.
#MWE Day 27.5
Korni Grupa - S/T (1972)
Epic welcome to the world of ex-Yugoslavia prog. Fitting, as it was one of the first rock albums to ever release there. Masterful exhibition of ethnic Serbian instrumentation & melodies—tastefully fusing frenetic jazz, blues, & psychedelia.
20. Miles Davis – Agharta (1975)
I’d use this album to score a montage of a city in flux. Developing then eroding. It’s industrious. Pacing swings from upbeat to slow, but never dull. Like crashing a jam of hyper-talented aliens in perfect sync. High art. #MWE
