@concoschulz The very stones cry out!
I always think about that verse during Christmas when stone hearts still proclaim the birth of the Savior through the songs they sing and hear.
@INHouseGOP This still you?

I may not know what I'm talking about concerning proper pastoral formation...
...but I had a conversation once with a friend whose church had been unsuccessful in calling a pastor. My question for him was, "how many pastors has your congregation produced lately?"
@sethhinz I guess technically my son has homework each night to read for 20 minutes and practice and discuss his memory work. I suppose I support those...
@sethhinz Honestly, I just expect them to be prepared for the next class. And there's a million justifiable reasons why work may not get done at home and that's ok too.
@sethhinz Every year my students create a capstone project which results is most of the work being done outside of school (hosting a fishing tournament, creating antimicrobial kneepads, raising money for books for a children's hospital...)
@sethhinz I don't prefer my students working at home because I'm not there to help or clarify, but I can't say that kids shouldn't do any work at home. There's too many reasons that might not be the case.
@sethhinz Was ample time given in class for the work? How is understanding being assessed? Are there long term benchmarks that need to be met? Is this part of a larger "portfolio" for students to demonstrate learning?
@sethhinz Their last 3 CFO appearances have been because of others decisions:
2020: B1G changes rules to put them in Championship (admittedly, arguable impact)
2022: Final CFP ranking moves them up to 4
2024: CFP expands to include their rank in playoff
