We brought the Executive Council to new heights today...literally...with the first-ever Executive Council meeting held atop the Mt. Washington Observatory @MWObs.
Tourism is BOOMING in the North Country. With foliage season just around the corner, you'll want to be here! 🏔️🍂
East Kingston Fire Chief Ed Warren called me last year with a great idea to invest in local emergency responders. Cities and towns all across NH received grants for this life saving equipment and we got to celebrate with his team today. (1/2)
Proud to sign HB 1624 into law today at Laconia High School @LHSachems with @SONewHampshire - an important bill which provides funding for student athletes with disabilities participating in co-curricular activities, increasing opportunity for all! #603Pride
I just signed SB 381, establishing an Office of the Advocate for Special Education. NH is committed to providing students + families the tools needed to establish an educational path that works best for them. Can't thank the families who advocated enough for their work on this!
Expanding coverage to include dental benefits for those on Medicaid is something I've long supported, but challenged the legislature to do in a way where the costs are sustainable + transparent. Grateful for their work to achieve those goals. Proud to sign this legislation today.
🚨BREAKING: We cut taxes AGAIN here in NH.
Every dollar matters, and these tax cuts signed into law today will help provide economic relief for businesses across the Granite State amid record inflation nationwide.
Huge crowd today as we cut the ribbon on Ruth Lewin Griffin Place — a brand new workforce housing complex in downtown Portsmouth to honor Ruth’s decades of service to the City of Portsmouth and the State of New Hampshire. We love you Ruth!
When I visited @ShakerVillageNH last fall + heard their decades-old Pontiac Bonneville had fallen into disrepair, I knew just the team to call. A big THANK YOU to Chuck Massahos, Doug Tisdell, Londonderry BP & the Hillz Auto Detailing team for bringing this antique back to life!
Such an exciting joy to host our annual Governor's Easter Egg Hunt once again in honor of our state employees for all of the hard work they do to make New Hampshire the best state in the country!
Happy Easter, New Hampshire! 🐰
Talk about some PAWSOME news this morning 🐾
Just signed SB 17 into law to make the rule changes we made back in 2019 permanent and make sure dogs continue to be allowed in outdoor dining areas. 🐶 #Pawsome#AwesomeDogs#603Pride
Taking advantage of a partnership with @EastersealsNH, I'm proposing the New Hampshire Veterans Campus. This campus, being proposed in Franklin, is designed to integrate veterans, active militaries, and their families with all-encompassing services.
We can and we must move forward and create more workforce housing, and do so in a way that preserves what is best about our state. That's why I'm proposing the InvestNH Housing Incentive Fund - a historic $100 Million fund to rebuild and expand housing for NH's next generation.
My first and foremost priority is to prioritize our ratepayers and make sure our policy decisions do not overburden them. When possible, we must strive for New Hampshire solutions that are innovative, considered, and responsible.
In 2020, New Hampshire was one of the only states to upgrade broadband connections and provide internet access during COVID-19 to over 4,500 across the state - and we're not done yet.
We continue to make substantial progress in our fight against the opioid epidemic, and with our Doorway System in place, we have wrap-around services across the state providing rural access to care and a 24/7 system in place.
