@DirtRoadPickup Yes. The point is that, despite disagreements, there was a time before Trump in which people could assume the other side was doing their best for the country, given their circumstances and beliefs. That is no longer the case.

People must work together.

@YikingsPirate @StephenKing I've read hours of Trump speeches and it is rare he can go off the prompter and not become incoherent, wandering, heavily ambiguous, or just make stuff up. This would not be a concern if I thought he was not planning to choose advisors who just say 'yes sire'

In danger we should build coalitions. Sometimes it's impossible, but it's really important to welcome people who want to oppose Trump.

We won't agree on everything, but we agree on enough and it may start something else.

@naomirwolf This is possibly because the Republican party machine (not necessarily Republicans themselves) does seem to default to being the party of sexism, and support for the establishment whether male or corporate.
