With regards to the BBC TV Licence in the UK ...

Any future populist government can make the following announcement on the first day they take power;-

"Every household in the country has full permission from the government to not pay their TV licence. Dont worry about going to court, getting fined or going to prison. The Police, the Courts and the Prison Service dont have the resources or capacity to investigate and take 28mln households to court or send you to prison .., and once you dont pay they cant even pay the BBC inspectors wages. Its over. Just dont pay."

The law wouldn't even need to change first. The BBC would just collapse within months then the law can be changed later because it would just be rendered completely useless.

This will create massive and lasting positive change in the U.K.
