Well, as one does every once in a while, here are some places I can be followed, with this same username:
- BlueSky (also happy to pass invites to mutuals!)
- Mastodon (on Spore)
- IG/Threads/FB
- https://t.co/qNCytf9KPX
- I've still got a website I never update.
I've increasingly found it to meet what I have used this website for, and have increasingly found this website to be less and less useful. I don't think there's a binary here, necessarily, and experiences will vary and so on, but that has been mine.
I'm noticing another group of new folks joining the other text-based social media website. I'm not one to tell people what to do with their accounts on this website; I think all choices have pluses and minuses, but I do think building an account on that specific place is good.

⭐️NEW EPISODE⭐️
@C_Resistance's Dylan & Molly return for the 3rd installment of "Over the Wall." This time, they're discussing The Abolitionist's Issue 41 on ecological justice, and Issue 42 on anti-war organizing. https://t.co/DxUkerb1Tk
Amid the rubble of death and the wreckage of life, Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, stood defenseless except for his honor and humanity, facing the occupation’s tanks that ravaged the land, destroying both stone and soul. With unwavering steps amidst the devastation, he advanced with unyielding courage, etching with his steadfastness an eternal message: dignity cannot be defeated, and the voice of humanity is louder than the roar of tanks. That moment, when an unarmed doctor confronted the machinery of war, embodies the highest degrees of heroism in the face of the fiercest forms of injustice.
A favorite NT play on words I learned while working on https://t.co/lij3RFYhGZ:
χρηστός - good, easy, kind
My yoke is χρηστός (Mat 11:30)
y’all are to be χρηστός... forgiving, just as God in Christ forgave y’all (Eph 4:32)
if y’all have tasted that the Lord is χρηστός (1Pe 2:3)
Just received confirmation that my grandfather, John B. Cobb Jr., has passed away at age 99. The founder of process theology, his work spanned far beyond the field of theology into interdisciplinary approaches to ecology, economics, biology, and social ethics.
Late Friday, @MNDOT announced that they want to eliminate the Twin Cities Boulevard, as an option for rethinking 94, even though it was the highest graded option in *their own survey*!
Take action w/ @ourstreetsmn to save the above grade option!

Palestinian journalists held a vigil at the Al-Ahli Hospital in honor of the five journalists from Al-Quds Today Channel who were killed last night, and to condemn the deliberate crimes of the Israeli occupation against media crews since the start of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
We were watching the new Star Wars show (which I think is good!) and my wife, who works with kids in various settings, said “this show feels too much like work to feel like vacation time.”
I do think bluesky has achieved a few levels of what I consider to be critical mass, even as Twitter has continued its descent. It’s not enough for me to abandon this website, but it is enough that I’m much less consistently posting here.
I finished “We Grow the World Together: Parenting Toward Abolition” today. It is a deep treasure of a book, easily among my favorite reads of the year. I’ll refer back to it often. Whew.
The Holy Family is still among us here and now, in the faces of the refugee, the immigrant, the oppressed, the stranger, the unhoused, the sick and poor. “For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” ~Matthew 25:35
Merry Christmas
When Americans on Christmas sing “Oh Little Town of Bethlehem”, do they realize that their tax money and elected officials are contributing towards driving Christians out of the “little town of Bethlehem”
