There’s a thing called blepharospasms. It’s a type of eye twitching where the muscles in or around your eyes that open and close your eyes twitch or flex rapidly and uncontrollably. The spasms can force your eyes shut, limiting your eyesight for minutes to hours.

It doesn’t require structural damage to the eye to occur.

If you really believe Tom Aspinall “gave up” after four minutes because Gane landed a few punches and caused a bloody nose, you don’t understand these athletes, how they train, or what they put their bodies through.
