@CarsonWest20@brianmctaggart Could possibly see LMJ going to the 60day IL. He would be eligible to return July 15th. He likely won’t be ready until then anyways.
If Wade’s hamstring injury is a bad as they were making it out to be initially, he could possibly see the 60day IL.
Honestly, not many options.
@CarsonWest20@brianmctaggart It actually makes perfect sense. Need a fresh arm in the pen and Murray will be sent back down tomorrow for Hunter Brown. Here are the pitchers on the roster that still had minor league options. Who were you moving?
Spencer Arrighetti
AJ Blubaugh
Bryan King
Alimber Santa
@DDelgattoNFL Here are the pitchers that were on the roster before the Santa move that still have minor league options. Who were you moving?

@barmand99@astros Because Imai & Burrows struggle so much that the bullpen is spent. Need a fresh arm & Santa is one of the few relievers w/minor league options remaining. He’ll be back soon. Min is 15days unless an injury occurs within the pitching staff, at which he can be an injury replacement.
@tylerwheatley@astros Unless an injury occurs within the pitching staff, he’ll have to remain in the minors for a minimum of 15 days before being recalled. For position players it is 10 days.
@Svt_Eric04@BenOndaTop When LMJ signed his contract, he was a beast. Then came the injuries that he has never been able to recover from. It’s a risk taken when you sign long term, high dollar deals. Especially with pitchers.
@HAnsari924@BenOndaTop McCullers will get one more opportunity. If that doesn’t work out, he’ll complete his Astros career on the 60d IL. The positive in his situation is that his contract ends after the season. Imai is on the hook for two more. I just don’t see him opting out. Burrows is still cheap.
@TopherT613 At that point though, I’m taking Pearson. While not ideal, you can typically get multiple innings out of him if you have to. They were in extras already.
@AltuveEnjoyer Pitching Hader multiple innings is the reason why he missed so much time. Hader is a shutdown, one inning, special situation pitcher. He needs to be used that way. Too much invested in him.
@CDew007@brianmctaggart I’m guessing that you haven’t looked at those guy’s stats lately. I’ve been watching this team more than 40yrs and Bregman was one of my all-time favorite Astros. However, this season has proven that letting him walk was the right thing to do. More so considering his contract.
@MGSC200@BBGreatMoments I’ve never seen anyone with more pinpoint control than Maddux. He would find that spot just outside of the strike zone and the batter’s reach where he’d get the umpires call, and nail it the entire game. I’m with you. Not sure he would’ve dominated like he did if ABS existed.
@tradetasty@DanClarkSports Alan Porter. He’s typically one of better umpires behind the plate. He just straight up missed this one. Must have had something in his eye.
@USS_STERLING@BBGreatMoments I’m not denying his impact on the team. It just goes to show the lack of pitching talent that the Rangers have had in their history.
@DDelgattoNFL Get over it! Dubon is gone. Either root for the Astros players that are on the field or go root for the team that your players went to. Would it have been nice to get more for Dubon? Yes. However, a better offer likely did not exist and trading him was the right move.
@nathanswords_@mattchewy28 No, 12yr olds should not be swinging wooden bats. However, High School kids aren’t 12. No reason that actual High School kids can’t swing wood. Especially the Jr and Sr kids. Some will be seeing minor league pitching soon and utilizing wooden bats.
