Is the government's crackdown on shoplifters tough enough?

The government has made it an offence to be violent against shop workers and given more money to tackle shoplifters.

A bit of advice a lot of these people carry weapons and dirty syringes so just be careful if you’re going to tackle 1

I’ve noticed a lot of them suffer with depression and anxiety as well.

@JeremyVineOn5 @narindertweets @cristo_radio @theJeremyVine The British Army is massively undermanned and there is a high proportion of soldiers not COMBAT fit due to mental health issues, I served for 12 years in The infantry and seen conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan a lot of these Battle hardened troops have now left the forces
