A sex or gender based approach is not always appropriate for every health setting. Psychiatric wards in England currently separate patients by gender, and don’t consider individual needs to keep people psychologically safe.

It shouldn’t take the horrendous suffering of individuals in care to be exposed by the media for us to take action. When did you last stop to talk to somebody you can probably tell is in need? When did you last advocate for somebody who was struggling to advocate for themselves?
