El Parlamento Europeo lo aprobó el 7 de julio de 2026 (646 votos a favor, 12 en contra) y el Consejo dio el visto bueno final el 13 de julio. Pero las nuevas normas no entran en vigor hasta 12 meses y 20 días después de publicarse en el Diario Oficial de la UE. Hasta entonces se aplica el Reglamento 261/2004 tal cual está hoy.

Lo que SÍ puedes reclamar ahora mismo:
・250 € en vuelos de hasta 1.500 km
・400 € en vuelos intracomunitarios de más de 1.500 km y en los de entre 1.500 y 3.500 km
・600 € en el resto
Se aplica si llegas con más de 3 horas de retraso, si te cancelan con menos de 14 días de aviso o si te deniegan el embarque. Y ese umbral de 3 horas es justo lo que el Parlamento peleó por mantener: el Consejo quería subirlo.
Lo que cambiará cuando entre en vigor: tendrás 9 meses para presentar la reclamación y la aerolínea 30 días para pagar o justificar por qué no.
