@NESpower Thank you for working tirelessly to try and get us back to normal in very cold and tricky weather conditions.

[jonauld @jonauld1]

@NESpower Thank you for all you do and the updates.

@MNPS_EL Ms. Leos has decorated many walls with this great social studies academic word list. It’s impossible not to absorb these key words. @ItsallThurgood

@AntiochMSBears coteaching teams continued their learning and combined their assets to create their co-teaching superhero. Combined assets bringing hope and positivity to their shared classroom. @MNPS_EL

@MNPS_EL I was so thrilled at the engaging faculty at Isaac Litton Middle school who I had the opportunity to lead through the first part of a Thinking Maps training. I am excited to see how they implement the first four maps over the next six weeks.

⁦@MNPS_EL⁩ and ⁦@ItsallThurgood⁩ I love walking in and heading up the stairwell to be greeted by academic language in a word wall with visuals aligned to each term. I know students appreciate and absorb this as they transition. Ms. Leos striving and supporting MLS!

@freddieoconnell hello from one MNPS parent to another I believe. After the shooting today at the WeGo downtown bus station, how can we ensure that our students our safe to travel with the public bus service through Nashville? A 4pm killing at main bus station is unacceptable.

TNTESOL hosted by @MNPS_EL what a strong partnership and what informative and practical sessions over the last few days. Enjoyed my session and thanks to @DStaehrFenner for attending it.

[jonauld @jonauld1]

A fantastic engaged bunch of teachers from @McMurrayMiddle and @Wrightmiddle extending their learning of Thinking Maps for part two and four more maps. Of course you have to throw in some interaction to keep the focus! @MNPS_EL

[jonauld @jonauld1]

Amazing to hear from Edward Steinman who won the case and Trish Morita Mullaney author and professor who closed out #WIDA24 with the story of Lau vs Nichols. What an honor to hear from them both! And I will be buying her book for sure.

[jonauld @jonauld1]

So thankful for all the positive feedback we received on a session on how to integrate content and language across all content areas today and yesterday. We were able to interact with around 200 educators from across the USA. #WIDA2024 @MNPS_EL

[jonauld @jonauld1]

#WIDA2024 kicking off in Pittsburgh. Loved hearing Quiara Allegria Hudes talk about language in all its forms. Need to watch “In the Heights” now.

@MrsWoodburnELD Way to go @

[jonauld @jonauld1]

Really enjoyed attending my first AVID Excel class @Wrightmiddle today. Ms. Adam had the students speaking and writing about an Emerson quote within the first 10 minutes. Way to go! @MNPS_EL

[jonauld @jonauld1]

I had a great time working with @Wrightmiddle teachers yesterday to help build their capacity to implement academic conversations in their classrooms. I loved the way the teachers really took on board the importance of body norms. @MNPS_EL

[jonauld @jonauld1]

A great follow up professional development session this morning @AntiochMSBears supporting co-teaching teams. We reflected on our practice so far and refined collective commitments. @MNPS_EL of course we started with a QSSSA to get the blood flowing and brain working!

[jonauld @jonauld1]

@MNPS_EL district and building based coaches coming together and doing some intensive coaching professional development and team building. What a great crew!

[jonauld @jonauld1]

@MrsWoodburnELD @ThinkingMaps The high rigor you ask of your students bodes well for their educational journey.

[jonauld @jonauld1]

This is what support looks like. @MNPS_EL team supporting teachers with annual ILP revisions.

[jonauld @jonauld1]

Day 4 of in-service @Wrightmiddle I had the privilege of co-presenting with the fabulous Dr. Newman on Thinking Maps and then I facilitated a session on academic conversations whole school to close out. Despite tiredness kicking in the teachers were fabulous! @MNPS_EL
