@joshtpm @ronaldfeljones But the loss of SCOTUS, any sense of the GOP being rational (they are arguing any policy isn't enough pain\cuts, not that they're too much), and the gerrymandering of red state statehouses have tipped my outlook into left conspiracy theory territory, a depressing development 2/2.

@joshtpm @ronaldfeljones I'm not denying your scholarship and pov; in fact I've wondered how someone deep into current politics & steeped in history can cope \ maintain hope with events of the last decade and last 6 months. This is more my pessimism winning the day (at least I hope that's all it is) 1/2

@ronaldfeljones @joshtpm He (actually his Fed Society / project 2025 bosses have succeeded at SCOTUS far more already than any of us would have believed 6 months ago. "Clearly, this will be too far for SCOTUS"- I'm tired of saying that and being wrong.
