@ejames_c But it also works in reverse for problematic employers / orgs - seems weird to me to only apply the judgment to only one side of a relationship.
@hannahkaty To really live in London is to know the area you live in like the back of your hand and treat the other 3 quarters of the map like a foreign country.
@kleto@onejasonknight I did a similar style of role where it was a lot about cohesion across Product teams and their respective leaders. I can see that evolving into CPO as you’re taking that meta view already.
@onejasonknight If I’m being generous, it’s some sort of Delivery role.
If I’m not being generous it’s the person getting blamed when things don’t coordinate across all the things they don’t control. (Including hiring and retaining UI/UX who will definitely hate working like that).
@SamLStandsUp Red cards (even if harsh) seem more clearly and obviously related to foul play in football. I find it far harder as a layman to understand a what constitutes a red in rugby as it’s often more technical.
@rachelcoldicutt Whole series is so so good. I’d heard so little about it I thought is was one of those undiscovered gems - until it did so well at the Emmy’s 😅
@thisisgrace I wonder how much of it is to do with the measuring of ROI - certainly from a media performance point of view. It’s very east to get addicted to we did X and we got £Y - and so broader challenges get missed.
@rich_mitch I don’t get his “homogenisation is everywhere thing” - it’s just that style and taste have changed (i.e. red phone boxes were quite literally homogenous!) Things diverge and converge and trends move and change over time.
@thepursuinglife Packing lists are transformative. Gives you somewhere to put the 3-weeks-out stress (pop it on the list), sets expectations (“this is what I’m taking”) and then the pack itself can just be methodical.
2. Raise the floor, not just the ceiling.
Most of performance is about how we perform on our average days, not about how we perform on our best days. When you raise the floor, you set a new standard. That no matter how you feel, you can show up.
