@stevebek77 Amazing experience. Beautiful country and Spanish are so friendly and welcoming. Game was flat. Very very hot so affected both teams hence reds sat back and didn’t play their usual fast paced game.
@NPLVicID@AnthNavy Game moved to Sunday due to supporter issues on Friday nights generally. Preston will play Sth Melb, Bergers etc on Sundays now. Other games will be played on Fridays ie Dinamo few weeks back. Preston do play a couple of games on Sundays in winter period as well.
Way back when…… active support has its place. 2002 Tynan-Eyre Charity game. Preston Vs Sth Melb. VPL winners vs (then) NSL team. This flare nearly hit me, thrown out of stupidity. Nice pic though and half time we were 4.0 down. Game called off.. not the place club needs to be.
@NPLVicID@PLFC2025 He’s a amazing player so hope you are wrong. I spoke to him during pre season and he isn’t fully recovered. Foot is swelling and I noticed a limp. Whatever happens he has a bright future and hope the injury settles. No need for him to play in championship. Wasn’t ready
@NPLVicID@PLFC2025 And don’t forget superstar Emil Peios still working through his fitness. He was Preston’s best player last year until he sustained that nasty injury. Unfortunately Scott Galloway calf hasn’t held up and his boots likely hung up. Handy left back now omitted.
@PLFC2025@DeathNsl Focus on our own club. It’s been a disaster. Focus on our own club, others can do what they want. They don’t listen to warnings and self policing seriously, then they can go.
They can take their flares and drums to local games. It’s killing the club. Enough is enough!
@ThatsFootballTV Settle down chief. Nice sweet hit but we expect that level of technique at this level across the EPL. Nice one but far from a ‘goal of the season’.
@Smudger_RS Ron, I’m watching Arsenal v Forest and the same thought came through my mind. Is it influenced by the medical team or is their approach merely an extension of the environment (ie society)?
@PaulMavroudis Both points absolutely valid. And it’s hard to see from the footage the full extent of it but a few of the players celebrating didn’t cover themselves in glory with how they behaved. As for the flares on the pitch, totally unacceptable.
@NickFinsUp@djzeus Challange is to maintain that level of engagement / supporter attendance. The big show derbies have been good. Obviously more compact when the games are played at stadiums such as Preston’s.
@micklynch57@aleksandarjason Agree Mick. I went to Madrid to watch the mighty reds v spurs 2019 and that game was flat at best. Heat didn’t help both sides.
@nplvictoria 🤣 really? Are clubs on rotation so we don’t offend those who miss out? Mighty @prestonlionsfc v @AvondaleFC84 looks to be the pick of the bunch don’t you think?
