We also used to ask candidates to design a hypothetical group DM API for partner eng roles on my old team. I think we put @imit8me and @osowskit1 through it. Wonder if those designs are still around somewhere.

In other Twitter news, group DM finally supported by API v2! Previously there was no way to access group DMs via API. This is huge for anyone running customer service over Twitter DM. No more missed conversations.

We just launched Direct Message endpoints to the Twitter API v2. 🎉 You can now create/retrieve Direct Message conversations. And there’s more— for the first time ever, these endpoints support group message functionality, only on v2. 🙌
