@quoipi@pupperleus I mean, not really. I have a very meaningful social life now at 27, but it all stems from a single point from when I was 18 that I can trivially recreate and have all the same connections but fix the mistakes I made along the way
@ATwinspark@Synd944935@DLCDonut You don’t have to remember it that long. You just have to remember them long enough to be able to write them down as a 10 year old and then keep track of the note. Plus powerball is 5 numbers between 1-69 plus one number between 1-26, that’s only about length of a US phone number
@ATwinspark@Synd944935@DLCDonut Just memorize a handful of winning powerball numbers tbh, then cash out whenever you need. I guarantee 99% of people have so little effect on the world that even with their butterfly effect, the outcome of powerball will not change until you decide to win it
@DLCDonut It appeals to me because I made a lot of mistakes in my youth in my personal life that I can’t really rectify now, despite having learned from them. So while I may not get 2mil I could definitely set myself up for a generally happier life
@chaotictransfem The true downside for me is that I’d have to relive the past 18 years again and that just sounds like torture in general. That’s a LONG time to relive imo, and a lot of stuff that’s completely out of my power to change happened during that time which I’d rather not relive
@chaotictransfem So for me I could very easily recreate the situations that led me to my long term connections, plus I could improve on them by not making the same dumb mistakes I did when I was younger, on top of potentially setting myself/others up for better futures
@IncFizzy@TSRStormed Having a decomp makes the game more accessible to developers due to it being able to be recompiled with changes, rather than trying to slap changes on top of the ROM as a mod which typically has more limitations. It also opens the door for stuff like native ports
@DocStrangelove2 This isn’t really anything new. Back in 2013 Nintendo had Neimod under constant surveillance and stalked him from his home, to his job, tracked his IRC messages, etc., before approaching him at his home
@Cincinatti_VR@NeahWayfarer Like I started paying for NSO because I wanted to play online. Every new console/game Nintendo adds to the collection that comes with the tier I pay for is at no additional cost, my subscription stays the same amount
@Cincinatti_VR@NeahWayfarer That’s why the person you replied to suggested the label “no additional cost” instead of free. It acknowledges that there is an initial cost, but the New Thing does not modify that cost. Thus, no “additional cost”
@LlennoxYt@dshaynie When I was a kid I got both copies of HGSS to have one as my “main” and one as my “sacrifice”. I used SS as my main that I put all my work into, and then used HG exclusively for the exclusives to trade to SS, and to mess around with GameShark cheats without affecting my main save
@uwukko On a serious note, though, Swappa is where it's at. I've bought basically all my used devices from there, including my Apple Watch, MacBook, and my last 2 iPhones. Insane deals if you go back enough generations, including Android:

@uwukko How loose is your definition of "usable". I've "successfully" done Android dev on both a ZTE Z982 (I can't find any listings around me but Google says these are like $60-$100) and a BLU Advance 5.5 (absolute dirt cheap). "Successfully" meaning "the app opens", though lol
@poisoned322232@ot8ify I used to work at a UPS Store and I had a lady come in as my first customer of the day trying to use a $100 to pay for an $11 charge, and when I refused she got all huffy with me like “eugh don’t you have cash in your register??”. Ma’am. I am not a bank
@ray_ray200108 FRLG literally got released like this a few months ago and everyone acted like Nintendo/TPC personally opened a portal to Hell above everyone’s houses
Yesterday, a Breath of the Wild demake showed up on the internet. Some 3DS homebrew devs have been looking into this and data mining it. I'll dump in this thread the current status and information that we have about this mysterious build. 🧵
@Hero_Of_Fire_42@itsapmseymour He literally called people “disgusting” for wanting to gen event pokemon that you can’t get anymore for their own personal single player collections, and said it “diminished the accomplishments of others” (the “accomplishment” being “born when the event was active”)
@Hero_Of_Fire_42@itsapmseymour He’s overall just a huge jackass but one of the biggest things he’s known for is being the BIGGEST stickler about genning Pokemon. He treats it like gods greatest sin, even if the Pokemon is a legal build, and acts like genning for single player kills the competitive scene
