@JohnCanzanoBFT bags on Youth sports railing against the cottage industry of unqualified coaches whose “ceiling was club coaching” calls for restrictions and essentially regulation. Good stuff if a little harsh and half-cocked.
Hey friends! Since August 2021 I've been serving with Young Life and things are really ramping up for us! Love to have your support! https://t.co/dt2ecdzGrJ
Reminded repeatedly today that the vast majority of the best pastors in the world are people whose names we don't know. They are not writing books or speaking at conferences, but they are faithfully living Jesus and his Kingdom.
Thank God for the ministry of obscurity.
We’re following a God we can’t see,
for a lifetime we can’t measure,
to a heaven we can’t comprehend,
because of grace we didn’t earn.
Be patient with each other.
We're all looking through a knothole at eternity trying to figure our lives out today.
The debate we are watching is a mirror, it is us, we are seeing our marriages, our relationships, our churches, our social media engagements reenacted on national television.
Please stop mocking, denigrating, demonizing and dehumanizing the people who hold opposing positions. They are image-bearers of God. And they are as deeply loved by their creator as you are. https://t.co/excPGOtjRI via @KarlVaters
@Nutterduece2 Arresting a reporter isn’t inherently evil or oppressive because freedom of the press doesn’t imply freedom to obstruct or interfere with business, or LE, or create or incite a dangerous situation, not to mention does it give them permission to trespass, break and enter or steal.
@Nutterduece2 We could probably safely raise the age of selective service to 21 or 24 as well as voting age given most adolescents brains are still forming.
Say what you need to on social media.
Then put down your phone & pick up your life.
Not many will see you learning, confessing, repenting, uprooting, re-tooling, forgiving, inviting, empowering.
But we will see its fruit.
The hidden work is the heart work is the hard work.
"You are not working from home; you are at your home during a crisis trying to work."
I've heard this twice today. I think it's an important distinction worth emphasising.
