This is one of my favorite videos from Russia. It is claimed to be of an "advance robotic combat soldier" developed by the Russian MoD. Look at Putin's face... even he is embarrassed. But the Russian media ran with the story anyway.

Any 10-year-old can see it is an ATV with a manikin on it that is being driven remotely by a human. It is nothing more than a cheap parlor trick, magic, smoke and mirrors... But it probably cost the Russian tax payers hundreds of millions of rubles over several years to "develop."

This is probably the best analogy I have come across of what Russia is at its core: fake, a lie, corrupt and brainwashed. And, I can say with full confidence that, at least in this case, there truly is no "analog."
