This reminds me of two scenes in the German movie “Downfall,” which depicts, historically accurately, Hitler’s last days. Both scenes involve Hitler and Albert Speer discussing Hitler’s “Nero Order,” by which the Führer had ordered the destruction of the Reich’s remaining economic infrastructure.
In the first scene, Hitler argues that the German people deserved to die because they were weak:
Hitler: “If the war is lost, it’s immaterial if the people perish too. … Our people turned out weak, and according to the laws of nature, they should die out.”
Speer: “They’re your people. You’re their Führer.”
Hitler: “The only ones who will survive the battle are the inferior ones. Our best people have fallen already.”

The only thing I have to say on the 25th anniversary is what Hunter S Thompson said in the aftermath. There's been few things said more prescient than the party's over. For someone like me who partied like hell in the 90's, 21stC has been very different. The party is still over.
Jimmy Kimmel: Jesus has been co-opted by this MAGA enterprise that makes no sense. You bring it right back to the real teachings of Jesus and I think that is so powerful.
James Talarico: Jesus Christ is the most famous victim of identity theft. The kind of religion that says you can treat others any way you want if you have a personal relationship with Jesus is an abomination
This is easily the saddest time in American history. The absolute worst people are systematically destroying the country, and our system is completely failing to stop them.
Dear Pam Bondi,
I wrote this Valentine’s poem just for you:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue;
AG John Mitchell went to prison,
And so will you. 🌹❤️

Impeach him Monday. Amend the constitution and call for a snap presidential election in November. No one involved in this cover up should touch public office again and many many should be sent to prison. The moral fabric of our nation is at stake.
Okay so,
1) an American citizen exercises his First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and his Second Amendment right to bear arms, out of apparent concern that a tyrannical federal government is violating basic protections afforded under the Constitution
2) after coming to the aid of an unarmed woman who's been shoved to the ground by a masked federal agent, the citizen -- impaired by pepper spray, holding nothing but a cell phone -- is dragged to the ground by a group of other masked agents
3) during the scuffle, shortly after one masked agent removes the weapon from the restrained citizen's person, several other masked agents open fire, unloading 10 shots from close range and killing the unarmed citizen
4) despite video evidence, a spokesman for the federal government says the citizen approached agents with a gun, provoked a violent confrontation, and planned to "massacre" law enforcement
You really want to defend this? Go ahead. Just know, you look like an absolute fool.
The Trump administration has rolled out a campaign across departments that draws on images and ideas borrowed from right-wing and white nationalist circles.
