I don’t often get pleasure from a company going bust but will make an exception for the lawyers Thomson Heath Jenkins who represented Prince Harry, Elton John, Baroness Lawrence etc in their failed claims for blagging and hacking against the Daily Mail.
The lawyers thought they would make a fortune so went all in on no win, no fee.
But the judge threw out the claim, basically saying it was all bollocks.
The judgment meant there were no fees to collect and the 17-year business went pop.
Cry me a river.
It’s sickening isn’t it when 6 Million people on benefits will receive £150 energy bill discount this winter & yet workers who are struggling to pay their bills get NOTHING.
A lot of people on benefits are better off than workers because they get so many more additional benefits that workers don’t get.
It’s wrong that you can be better off on benefits than working.
REWARD WORKERS NOT SHIRKERS
Activist: "You've all got your loophole anyway. Give the farm to the kids before you die and there's no tax."
Farmer: "I did. In May. Want to hear the rules?"
Activist: "Go on."
Farmer: "I have to live seven years. If I go in year three it's as if I never gave it. So the plan is that I die on time."
Activist: "That's the same rule for everyone."
Farmer: "It is. Next one. I can't keep living in the farmhouse. If I sleep in the bed I was born in without paying my daughter rent, the taxman says I never gave it away."
Activist: "So pay her rent."
Farmer: "I do. Out of a state pension, to my own child, for my own bedroom. She declares it. She pays tax on it."
Activist: "At least the farm's safe."
Farmer: "If she doesn't divorce. Her husband gets half a farm he's never calved on and the lawyers get the Land Rover. And if she doesn't go bust in a bad lambing, because it's hers now and so is the overdraft."
Activist: "You're inventing problems."
Farmer: "I'm reading my solicitor's letter. There's one more line. If I need a care home in year five, the council can say I gave the farm away to dodge the fees and come for it anyway."
Activist: "So what's the plan?"
Farmer: "Die at 76, healthy, in somebody else's house, having paid rent on my own bed, with my daughter still married. That's the loophole. Businesses in London plan for growth. I plan for a tidy death."
Paris.
This is what happens when you let the Free Palestine movement do what it likes.
Macron “recognised Palestine” while Paris is unrecognisable.
It’s Paristine now.
France has 290 nuclear weapons
The UK has 225 nuclear weapons
Both are currently being taken over by Radical Muslims
But sure... Tell me again what a danger Russia is
I’m about to board a seventeen hour flight journey from Warsaw to Los Angeles because I’ll be speaking at CPAC in Beverly Hills tomorrow.
This journey could have been very simple with a quick layover through London but since I speak out against radical Islam, the United Kingdom banned me from their territory.
Therefore, I have to route through other countries since I can’t even take a plane that has a layover in Heathrow.
Every so often I have to just remind people what a piece of shit Keir Starmer and Shabana Mahmood are. They’re so afraid of opposing ideologies that I can’t even take a plane through Heathrow anymore! 😂
Norway drills the North Sea and grows richer.
Britain bans drilling, taxes the industry into decline, loses a thousand jobs a month, then buys the same oil and gas from Norway.
Same seabed. Same reservoirs. It is economic self-destruction of the highest order.
We are being governed by TRAITORS.
Suppose that once a week, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to £100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay £1.
The sixth would pay £3.
The seventh would pay £7.
The eighth would pay £12.
The ninth would pay £18.
And the tenth man (the richest) would pay £59.
So, that’s what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every week and seemed quite happy with the arrangement until, one day, the owner caused them a little problem.
“Since you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the cost of your weekly beer by £20.”
Drinks for the ten men would now cost just £80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes.
So the first four men were unaffected.
They would still drink for free but what about the other six men?
The paying customers? How could they divide the £20 windfall so that everyone would get his fair share?
They realized that £20 divided by six is £3.33, but if they subtracted that from everybody’s share then not only would the first four men still be drinking for free but the fifth and sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer.
So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fairer to reduce each man’s bill by a higher percentage.
They decided to follow the principle of the tax system they had been using and he proceeded to work out the amounts he suggested that each should now pay.
And so, the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (a 100% saving).
The sixth man now paid £2 instead of £3 (a 33% saving).
The seventh man now paid £5 instead of £7 (a 28% saving).
The eighth man now paid £9 instead of £12 (a 25% saving).
The ninth man now paid £14 instead of £18 (a 22% saving).
And the tenth man now paid £49 instead of £59 (a 16% saving).
Each of the last six was better off than before with the first four continuing to drink for free.
But, once outside the bar, the men began to compare their savings. “I only got £1 out of the £20 saving,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got £10!“
“Yeah, that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a £1 too. It’s unfair that he got ten times more benefit than me!”
“That’s true!” shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get £10 back, when I only got £2? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison, “we didn’t get anything at all. This new tax system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next week the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had their beers without him.
But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important – they didn’t have enough money between all of them to pay for even half of the bill!
And that’s how it works.
Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy and they just might not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas, where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
For those who understand, no explanation is needed.
For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.
Oh look. That thing that never happens has happened again. Four Afghans (three men and a teen) are jailed for raping a 17 year old girl.
There is no information in the public domain that I can find which reveals their immigration status. I wonder why that is. 🤔
Jeremy Clarkson says if he started a business today, he’d do it ABROAD
His pub was fully booked, yet he claims it LOST £8k+ pre-tax in its first quarter
Britain’s problem?
We punish the people who actually BUILD things
Start a farm shop? Leave it alone
Save a local pub? Leave it alone
Build a company and create jobs? LEAVE IT ALONE
Cut the red tape. Cut the bureaucracy. Stop treating entrepreneurs as cash machines.
Businesses create jobs
Jobs generate tax
Investment creates wealth
Farms produce food
Successful businesses revive towns and high streets
Surely 20 years of growth & tax revenue beats driving businesses, entrepreneurs and billionaires OUT of Britain?
Andy Burnham, Labour has a huge opportunity
Make Britain the easiest place in Europe to start & grow a business
Make people WANT to invest here again
Three years ago today Hamas killed about 1,200 people and took hostages. In London, a Hate march still went ahead.
Police asked them to move it off 7 October.
They refused. Some covered their faces after being told not to. Chants for intifada outside a Jewish community office. Five arrests there. The hate march still got its route.
In Gosport, locals protesting a small-boat landing got a town-wide dispersal order, a face-covering ban and 12 arrests.
Same country. Same week. One crowd picks the anniversary of a massacre and gets managed through the streets. The other gets the order, the ban and the van.
Call it what it is. Two-tier policing.
Over the past five years, 62,199 people have been arrested for speech-related offences.
Of those, 18,520 were charged and 12,292 convicted. That means more than 12,000 people received criminal records for speech offences in just five years.
This is not normal in a free society. Britain is rapidly becoming the North Korea of the North Sea.
If you’re worried about the police knocking on your door over something you’ve said in person or online, join the Free Speech Union. We’re your best defence.
Angela Rayner’s new policy on ‘Empty Dwelling Management Orders’ is one of the most outrageous, authoritarian overreaches by a British government ever.
It gives the state the power to confiscate private property if left unoccupied for six months.
It is literally legalised theft and yet the left-wing media luvvies lapped up her party conference speech and let it slip by without so much as a whimper of protest. When people realise how pernicious Rayner’s ‘Empty Dwelling Management Orders’ are, the inevitable outcry will be too late.
First and foremost, it will be the state that decides if your house is ripe for confiscation. The local council will deploy ‘Empty Homes Officers’, for which there is about to be a recruitment drive, who will spy on your property. These state snoops will visit your property, check your mail, take photos of your house and obtain your water and energy usage. Armed with this information, like some second-rate private investigator, build a case on whether you’ve been living there.
Then when the state seizes your property and rents it out, who gets the payments? You guessed it, it goes directly to the local council. And they get to decide if they want to use the rent for repairs, building works and any health-and-safety upgrades to make the house habitable. They will then take out any money needed to cover the council's letting agent fees and property management costs. Only then, if there is anything left, will the actual owner get something.
The state will be able to confiscate your property for seven years.
Of course, the property owner will still be responsible for paying the mortgage if there is one - even if they are getting no income. The council, despite taking the rent, won’t cover the mortgage payments. But should this lead to a default, the bank can repossess the property, so the owner will potentially lose everything.
That isn’t the end of the scandal, because should the tenant, which the council found, stop paying rent, the council can’t evict them as they have full legal tenancy rights. Leaving the property owner with even fewer rights than the non-rent paying tenant.
People have complicated lives which means they may end up with an empty property - for example if an elderly parent dies, a messy divorce or a house you hoped you could one day do up.
Housing Secretary, Angela Rayner, too has a complicated housing arrangement. She divides her time across three accommodations - her Westminster one, her constituency home in Ashton-under-Lyne, and her new controversial Hove apartment (the one she didn’t pay full stamp duty on over which she had to resign).
No doubt the state won’t be looking to seize her private property. In this Socialist nightmare we are living through, some are always more equal than others.
Stephen Gray gave nearly 30 years to Cleveland Police. He and his wife foster children. At 65 he has a criminal record because he reposted a meme.
The post said: “Fun facts about bacon! People who eat bacon have a lower chance of marrying a 9-year-old!”
He told the court it was satire, pointed at the traditional account of Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha, and meant to start an argument about child marriage. A district judge called it “grossly offensive,” said the jokey tone meant it could not be a serious point, and fined him a bit over £1,000.
The Crown Prosecution Service first said there was no case. A neighbour he was already rowing with over a sewage pipe asked for a review. Then there was a case.
England abolished blasphemy in 2008. It has not abolished the habit. A man who spent his working life enforcing the law can now be branded a criminal for a Facebook repost that hundreds of other people shared and walked away from.
That is not public order.
That is a state that has decided some facts are too awkward to joke about, and some people are too ordinary to protect. Stephen Gray is appealing.
He should not have to. We now live in a totalitarian state.
69+ million people live in the UK (2025) and yet a simple 23 buffoons in the cabinet are successfully destroying the UK!
No oil, no gas, shit in the water, extortionate bills, rapes, stabbings and murders daily have become the norm.
Why & how are they still in power??
I’ve been on this planet for 65yrs & lived in the UK all my life.
I’ve never known this country to be in so much turmoil.
Most people that live in the UK just want to get on with their lives in peace but there’s a small amount & that includes this government that just want to destroy it.
What I don’t get is why would you want your own country destroyed?
It makes no sense to the majority of us.
Until this government is removed we will never get our country back.
Who agrees?
We called an ambulance last monday at 4pm, after my 81 year old father-in- law fell and couldn't move. He soiled himself and lay in his own mess overnight for 16 HOURS as the ambulance came at 8.20am, yet we have ambulances available for these spongers.
