Kalau jumpa artwork kat mana2, yang takde watermark, and bukan you lukis sendiri, jangan la gedik2 ambik dan guna je terus utk projek sendiri. Tak kira la kalau u guna buat freebies sekalipun. Kalau u niat nak jual, lagi tak boleh.

Konsepnya senang je - artwork tu hasil kerja orang lain. Dia yg lukis. Tak kisah la nampak senang ke, susah ke, comel ke, huduh ke. DIA YANG LUKIS. So dia ada hak nak tentukan apa boleh buat dengan benda tu.

The least you could do is ASK if you can use their work for your freebies. I know some fanartists who dont mind, as long as you give proper credits, but you cannot assume everyone will be okay with it. If the artist agrees, great, go ahead, print a million badges to give out, who cares. But if they don't, you either request to pay for it (since it's THEIR WORKS) or YOU LEAVE IT ALONE AND NOT USE IT!

At the end of the day, if you are not the one who draws the fanart, it's not yours, no matter how much you edit. And so you have no rights to use it. Tapi kalau kau dah terlanjur guna, and the owner dh dapat persetujuan, either kau tarik balik and simpan je freebies tu, or, like I said, negotiated for some form of payment to the artist. It's their rights to ask for it. Because it becomes almost like a commission already. And mind you, the commission fee is not cheap, because it shouldnt be cheap. So too bad, bayar la kalau perlu.

Pengajaran dia di sini ialah :
1. Jangan sesuka hati guna artwork orang, even the ones you jumpa kt mana2 without watermark.
2. Guna je la official artwork/photos, not fansites/fanartists' unless you got the permission
3. Support your fellow fanartists by commissioning them.
4. If you make a mistake, apologize. Negotiate for permission properly and politely.
5. Kau lukis la sendiri apa kau nak kalau kau rasa lukis artwork tu senang and sapa2 boleh buat. Save everyone the trouble pun.

i do think that this applies to every group you stan. there's literally no reason to be competitive in being a fan. not everyone has the luxury to keep up with idols' updates every few moments and that's okay. idols have their own lives and schedules, and so do us.
