@userNofx@_uncleluc@DebuMusashi@BEmpress1984@_wej01 A caterpillar is not a butterfly. A law school student is not a lawyer. An embryo isn’t a born human. One could become the other, but the caterpillar could get eaten, the student could drop out, and the embryo could be miscarried.
@KetterStone@RealDianeYap@MattWalshBlog You are taking for granted that potential magically makes an embryo a human, which to me is arbitrary. I do not accept this as sufficient evidence because nothing in life is guaranteed. The fact that you have a bunch of caveat to your hypothetical literally proves this.
@KetterStone@RealDianeYap@MattWalshBlog Intentional killing of what exactly? You’re describing the mechanics of murder without establishing a victim. An embryo at 6 weeks has no consciousness, so therefore no experience to lose. You can’t murder something that hasn’t developed what most use to define life.
@KetterStone@RealDianeYap@MattWalshBlog A conscious person is born. But consciousness actually begins around 22 weeks, which is why most pro-choice people aren’t arguing for late term abortion. What were you actually trying to prove?
@svan81@PrettiGoodLife@hasanthehun Fun fact, she can challenge but it is not guaranteed. Especially since she was not acting in good faith which led to the default judgment. Another fun fact, there are still other cases pending.
@KetterStone@RealDianeYap@MattWalshBlog Most likely both would die if she does nothing because more often than not there is a level of medical care needed at some point
@NillaMlk@allie__voss@DerekPederson3 The word wrong by definition is a subjective opinion. You can say legal/illegal but there are legal things that some consider wrong and illegal things that some consider good. Also, the rest of your sentence implies that the baby was both living and born when it was killed.
@KetterStone@RealDianeYap@MattWalshBlog You are correct that regret is not an excuse for murder. However, you must establish that abortion is murder. I remain unconvinced.
@KetterStone@RealDianeYap@MattWalshBlog They still have to carry it, put their lives at risk, their time, career, pay, etc. so it is valid to abort over put up for adoption.
