[Exclusive] Lee Jong Suk to Return to Romantic Comedy After a Long Hiatus… Cast as Male Lead in Lee Seop’s Romance

According to an exclusive report by https://t.co/xNrDy8rNL1, Lee Jong Suk has been cast as the male lead, Tae Iseop, in the upcoming drama Lee Seop’s Romance, which has officially been confirmed for adaptation.

Lee Seop’s Romance is a chaotic office romance between Tae Iseop, a man who doesn’t want to do anything, and Kang Min Kyung, a woman determined to get things done no matter what. The story follows the romance between Tae Iseop, a third generation chaebol who is perfect in every way but awkward when it comes to love, and Kang Min Kyung, a highly competent “secret weapon” of TK Group.

Originally a web novel of the same title written by Kim Eon Hee, Lee Seop’s Romance was later adapted into a webtoon and will now be produced as a drama. Lee Jong Suk will take on the role of Tae Iseop. This marks his first romantic drama as a male lead in approximately seven years since Romance Is a Bonus Book. Although his previous project, Seochodong, also included romantic elements, it was primarily categorized as a legal or coming of age drama. After exploring various genres over the years, Lee Jong Suk is finally returning to his signature romance genre through Lee Seop’s Romance.

For the female lead role of Kang Min Kyung, several actresses are currently being considered and are in discussions. Production company Ace Factory which previously produced Confession, Secret Forest 2, Grid, and Good or Bad Dongjae has acquired the rights to Lee Seop’s Romance and will oversee its production. The exact production schedule has yet to be finalized, but filming is aimed to begin within this year.
