Without tracking, I could not have told you I had a Left direction bias.
I went from a Stack putting session to some block practice and quickly cleaned this up.
It was not long ago that golfers, golf media, & club fitters thought you had to choose between low (optimal) spin and stability (pareto optimality)
This trade-off has been broken.
The definition of innovation.
The proof is.....right here.
We have an opening for a research and test engineer (preferably with a passion for the human equipment interaction, high performance, psychology side of things). This role is in Loughborough, UK reporting to the talented @SportJono
This was fun.
Viktor, from the Tour truck, the day after his Viktory.
Hope you enjoy this PING Proving Grounds podcast as much as I did.

Friction is a strange and wonderful topic and it very much matters in golf. For moisture you can also read “grass” and you have more partial wedge shots in longer grass than not. Make sure your wedge has great spin in non-ideal conditions!
When it comes to your lowest lofted fwy wood, most fitters don't know what's optimal....or possible.
Fitters: PING Co-Pilot is here to help. We've added Fairway Wood Launch Efficiency (Beta) to help optimize your golfers fairway wood - specific to their goals, weather, altitude, model, and impact location

Embrace the power of customization!
Wind has a significant effect on offline dispersion.
In this example, for a PGA Tour 7-iron, offline dispersion changes by ~10% for each 10 mph change in wind speed
Tired of fliers? We test for spin in both wet and dry conditions.
On wedge shots, we've measured spin rate drops of over 40% on some balls, dropping from more than 10,000 RPM to 6,000 rpm, when friction is reduced through added moisture.
