@afneil Cant see at budget how Healey will get headroom he needs without income tax rises ,it looks the only way to generate the level of funds he needs . Rather than tweaking smaller taxes and seams reluctant to reduce welfare bill so a 1p rise (possibly 2p) could be in pipeline.

@afneil One of my biggest concerns re Burnham was the debt he left in Manchester ,something MSM never mention , so far his premiership seams to be a continuation of this . You are right to highlight the figures Andrew and I simply can't see how he'll balance books without tax rises.
